F1 Baku GP postponed and Canada will be a Season Opening race

The Formula 1 season 2020 is not expected to start until mid-June, as the Azerbaijan GP scheduled for 7 June 2020, it is expected to be delayed. Baku's rescheduled would put by the Canadian GP kick off the season on 14 June 2020.


After the official delay of various races in the last ten days organization failed to host the Australian GP, the first race was not held so that Azerbaijan is the first race on the Formula 1 schedule 2020. However, on Monday announced it was decided that the Baku race is set to be delayed.

The Baku City Circuit is a logistical challenge in the core of the Azerbaijani capital and therefore takes a lot of time to prepare. Due to the present vulnerability about the COVID 19 pandemic, however, no guarantees can be given for a race date, which is why a postponement is planned.

Currently, just Monaco GP race confirmed to not play for the 2020 season as it cannot host the race at any other time, Whereas Australia probably to be postponed, because of the effects of the temporary circuit construction on Albert Park.

Once the Baku’s rescheduled confirmed, the Canadian Grand Prix will take place as the season-opening race. Montreal was initially supposed to be the second part of a duel with Baku in June.

Formula One decides to replace all postponed race with eSports which is beginning with Bahrain virtual GP in which most recent Formula One drivers participated such as Nico Hülkenberg, Stoffel Vandoorne, Esteban Gutierrez, Anthony Davidson, and Johnny Herbert.
