Since Formula One announced the addition of four more races to the 2020 calendar, Turkey's Intercity Istanbul Park will host the Grand Prix for the first time since 2011.
The Turkish Grand Prix will be held on 15th November 2020. Immediately before the back-to-back double-headed race in Bahrain, the Bahrain Grand Prix will be held on 29th November and the Sakir Grand Prix will be held on 6th December 2020.
On 13 December 2020 season finale race Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Formula One also confirmed that the Chinese GP, which was postponed earlier this year, will not be played in the 2020 season, this season total of 17 races will be scheduled.
At the same time, the F2 season will end with the Bahrain doubleheader, according to the original plan to increase their season to 12 rounds.
A report from Formula One said: We can verify that Turkey, Bahrain (two races will be held), and Abu Dhabi will be part of the revised season, and we would like to thank all our promoters and partners for being here. The hard work in the process may have 17 competition seasons.
Regrettably, we will not participate in the competition in China this season, and we would like to thank our partner Juss Sports for their support and participation in recent months, and we seem ahead to returning to Shanghai coming year. We can confirm that in the 2020 revised season, many games will be open to a small number of fans, including fans, and we are working with each promoter to finalize the details.
Although we hope to see as many fans return as possible as soon as possible under safe circumstances, our top priority is still the safety of the Formula One community and the communities we visit, and we review the usage of fans on this basis.
Due to the continuing flow of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will carry on to maintain close discussions with all promoters and local authorities to make sure that we conduct our activities in the safest way and closely monitor the circumstances in each country including travel limitations and local Sanitation procedures.
We are happy to declare that Turkey, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi will be part of our season 2020 Chairman and CEO of Formula 1 Chase Carey said.
