The 2022 XPEL 375 will be the 35th IndyCar race on the 1.5-mile quad-oval. In 1997, the first race was won by Arie Luyendyk. 

After the first year, Texas Motor Speedway hosted two races per season from 1998 to 2004, followed by individual races for the next six years (2005-2010). A double event took place on June 11, 2011, followed by a single event season from 2012 to 2020. On May 1st, NTT IndyCar Series Champion Scott Dixon won the championship for the fifth time in a row, and on Sunday, May 2nd, Patricio Pato O'Ward got his first consecutive win at XPEL375.
