Big 8kg Weight Reduction at Imola

 

According to reports in Italy, Red Bull is a goal to reduce the 8kg weight of the RB18 ahead of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Imola in April.

Such a reduction in weight could be worth up to 0.2 seconds per lap. This is very important in the fight against Ferrari in front of the ground.

New weight limits introduced by Formula 1 make the 2022 car 43kg heavier than its predecessor, but it is widely believed that only Alfa Romeo can build a car that can meet the new demands of the sport.
