The Formula E is set for its debut race, the 2023 Cape Town ePrix, which takes place in Cape Town, South Africa, on February 25, 2023. It will be Sub-Saharan Africa's inaugural Formula E race. Background:

The race was supposed to happen in 2022, but it was moved back for unknown reasons, which probably had to do with the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn't on the 2023 calendar at first, but after the Seoul ePrix was canceled, it was added.
